This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

The crying tiger is my favorite! It comes as a big portion. The beef goes perfect with the sauce! A great choice for hotel guest at Courtyard!

We've been dining here for many years and every meal has been enjoyable. I highly recommend the BBQ Pork Fried Rice - generous portion and delicious. My wife loves their Crying Tiger dish. Friendly staff, prompt service, always clean.

Thai Garden Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience that’s hard to beat. The Thai tea here is a must-try—smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, making it a great start to any meal. The food is amazing, with standout dishes like the chicken dim sum, which was deliciously tender and packed with flavor. The drunken noodles were equally impressive—perfectly spiced and full of vibrant textures. Beyond the food, the service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The restaurant itself was spotless, maintaining a welcoming and clean atmosphere throughout. On a Tuesday evening, the place was bustling with patrons, a testament to its popularity. This speaks volumes about the quality of food and service they offer. With such a positive experience, I’ll be back. Highly recommend Thai Garden Restaurant for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine in a comfortable setting.

###### 5/9/26 In the mood for Thai tonight, first came to mind was their crying tiger dish so we went. 1. Crying Tiger: 5/5 - the best in OC for sure. 2. Ped see ew: 4/5 - so smoky and delicious, neither greasy nor saucy. I would prefer with Gai Lan vegetable but nonasian veggies are ok. 3. Tom Yum with chicken: 3/5 - dont get much lemongrass flavor but the taste was spot on. Pretty happy tummy 😉🫶 ###### The crying tiger, "grilled beef", is consistently flavorful and delicious although the meat is a bit tough. The spicy stir-fried noodles was pretty good although more veggies than the flat rice noodles. Chicken satay was good. The papaya salad was very disappointing, not a traditional Thai papaya salad that you would be used to, very bland and super sweet, no depth, just don't waste your money. The spicy stir-fried seafood was average, scallops were frozen, fishy, and overcooked so pretty rubbery, squid was also rubbery. One surprise that steamed rice doesn’t come with any main entrée so it is an extra charge for every small bowl. I don't know if anyone would eat asian entrée without rice or noodles. The pricing is already quite high so you would think it would include rice.

First time eating at this place; I already have my favorite Thai place I like to go often, but this was better! The drunken noodles are not really spicy, but I believe you can choose your spicy levels, I just didn't realize until after. The pineapple fried rice was soooo good! I got it with tofu, and all the ingredients went so well together, including the sweetness, which matched all the other flavors and wasn't overwhelming. However, my favorite dish was the Crying Tiger! I usually don't care about eating meat much, but the meat was delicious, and so juicy!! I will definitely be getting that dish again! The prices are average, and the dishes are sharable for two, or three people, depending on what you get. The service is excellent, and all the employees were really nice and actually made sure you liked the food. Great place for a nice little dinner date!
